If you’re the kind of mama with the Christmas tree already up and Mariah Carey on repeat, we’re right there with you. If you are pregnant, or want a less boozy holiday time, we’ve got you covered with the Deck the Halls, a Christmas mocktail that’s making us fa-la-la-la-la.

DECK THE HALLS, A CHRISTMAS MOCKTAIL RECIPE:

2 oz. Lyre’s Italian Orange non-alcoholic bitter liqueur

.5 oz. Cranberry Bayleaf Syrup (recipe below)

.5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice3 oz. Soda Water
Combine all ingredients in a wine glass with ice. Garnish with whole cranberries and a dried lemon wheel.


Cranberry Bayleaf Syrup           

20 grams dried Hibiscus

750g white sugar

1000g Ocean spray cranberry juice

4 large bay leaves 

1 tsp Chinese five spice powder

 

Combine all ingredients together in a saucepan over medium heat and whisk together until simmering. Turn off the heat and allow to steep, covered, for 15 minutes. Remove the bay leaves, bottle and refrigerate. 


Bonus- Mamas, you can also add a little of this syrup into a lemon water for a delicious morning pick-me-up.
